To all the internationals in my heart, you will understand me when I say I tried KFC for the first time. There has been a lot of talk between the Chinese/Dubian/Korean/Thai/Mexican (not really the Mexicans) and I about how international KFCs are different—better—than the American locations. Heck, a certain Dubian princess I know went as far as hosting a childhood birthday party there which, in America, would be considered GHE•TTO. While I made a secret vow to myself that I would not eat American food while in Thailand, KFC is not American when in Thailand. So we went, and I tried, and it was GOOD, and there was ice cream afterwards. A KFC with softserve? What?
While it was delicious and all, there was one huge downside. I have been here for 4-5 days eating street meat and shack food made by talented people, yes, but people who probably don't wash their hands (I don't think, I just eat). All the while, my stomach has been fine, and I haven't gotten sick on either end of the system, but what is it that gets to me? The supposedly cleanest (in terms of sanitation, not nutrition) food I've eaten thus far. Just nauseous, nauseous, nauseous after eating KFC, Thailand. I ate some shack food noodle soup many hours later for dinner, and I feel much better now. Either way, I'm going on a diet once back in America.
Looks like a regular ol' KFC, no?
